Angelo Starr is an American singer, musician and record producer – and the younger brother of one of soul music’s greatest ever performers, the legendary Edwin Starr.

Cutting his teeth touring and performing with Edwin at top flight venues throughout the world including Madison Square Gardens in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, Wembley Arena and Canada’s House of Blues, Angelo was steeped in the soul tradition from the very beginning. The Dixon Agency

Most recently Angelo performed as a guest vocalist at A Celebration of Dexter Wansel’s Music at the Eventim Apollo in London – a landmark show featuring 47 musicians and singers honouring the Philadelphia International Records sound that shaped a generation.

Now he brings that same spirit of soul and Philadelphia to Soho Social in Barnsley for what promises to be a very special night indeed.
