Soul Saturday began during CoVid. David Kay and his wife Sue decided to cheer up their friends by broadcasting an online disco night on Facebook.
Bronia, the owner of Soho, loved it. When pubs were allowed to open again, she asked Dave to change the virtual gig to a real-life one.
A packed house (all seated!) was the result and the monthly event has gone from strength to strength. Top line guest DJs grace the decks and people travel from all corners of the country to soak up the unique atmosphere.
